Worried About Hairloss After Pregnancy?

By Peter Meier

It's bad enough that all of your clothes stopped fitting and you endured the extreme pain of labor, and now your hair has to fall out? You just had a baby coming out of you and now your hair has to fall out too. Is this a complication of the pregnancy, or is it normal? The good news is that getting balder, in this case, is a normal part of the post-pregnancy period. You actually retained more hair during your pregnancy because your hormones increased, and now you're compensating by losing more hair as your hormone levels go back down to normal.

It bothers most women. It's not pleasant to see clumps of hair coming out in the morning. Sometimes it feels as we are going bold from all the hair we lose naturally anyway. After pregancy it gets worth and feels worth when hair leaves us by the fistful.

In our society, baldness for women is a lot worse than for men. It's more socially acceptable for men to be bald, while hair is a largely defining characteristic for most women. But societal rules aside, women might feel sickened by their hair loss, feeling as if they're degenerating from some kind of disease.

Hair loss after pregnancy is not really worrying thow and also it feels a lot like shedding a dog, it's natural. There is nothing one can do to "fix it". The only thing is to wait for the right hormone balance to come back and things will be getting back to normal. What you must do is take extra care of your hair and brush your hair less often. In the end it is likely to bother you less.

While hair loss after pregnancy is normal, you might find that afterward your hair isn't exactly the way it used to be. Your hormone levels caused all sorts of changes, so it may have changed your hair permanently. It won't be drastic, but you might find a change in texture. Such is the way hair grows and the body works. - 29954
